The New Roads and Street Works Act include 16 NRSWA course units of competence.
In April 2017, when new regulations came into effect in England (under The Street Works (Qualifications of Operatives and Supervisors) (England) Regulations 2016), the unit referencing system was updated.
To help with understanding, both the previous numerical references and the newer alpha-numeric references are provided below.
Unit 1 (LA) applies to both Supervisors and Operators, Units 2-9 (O1-O8) are designed for operators, while Units 10-16 (S1-S7) pertain
specifically to Supervisors.
